University
of Livingstonia (UNILIA) was established following the September, 2002
annual general meeting’s resolution of Church of Central Africa
Presbyterian-Synod of Livingstonia held at Karonga Teachers’ Training
College. The University started its services on August 27, 2003 with
training of Secondary School teachers, with initial enrolment of 45.
The University is situated at Livingstonia Mission station located at
Livingstonia plateau, north-west of Rumphi District, northern Malawi.
It is at a distance of about 145 kilometers from Mzuzu City.
